The Body Shop Brazilian Nut Moisture Mask (review)

To restore and strengthen. Dry/Damaged/Chemically treated hair.
The price in INR 745 for 200ml
What it claims: Community Trade Brazil nut, olive and sesame oils add gloss, wheat and Brazil nut amino acids penetrate hair shaft to add moisture and improve manageability. Helps reduce breakage, prevent damage from heat styling and aid combing. The result? Healthy-looking, beautifully soft, shiny hair. Apply to damp hair, wrap in a towel or cap, leave for 15 minutes or overnight, depending on your hair’s condition. Rinse then shampoo and condition as normal.
How could I not want to buy it after reading what it claims to do? This is actually the first product I bought from TBS. I checked it out at a body shop store, but couldn’t get myself to spend 745 bucks (at that time I had just started my ventures into the world of products and beauty..)I went home but couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. Did I want healthy looking hair and prevent damage from from heat styling. Hell yeah.. I went back after some days and bought it. (sigh… and that was one of my first steps towards my journey of becoming a product junkie… J )
The Body Shop Brazilian nut moisture mask comes in a jar form, its consistency in quite thick. It is more like a healthy oil treatment for hair, as it is to be used pre shampooing.
Pros
I believe it does make hair healthier and shinier. It contains the goodness of olive and sesame oils, wheat and Brazil nut amino acids. The fragrance of brazil nut is awesome and it lingers a bit throughout the day. If you go by the claims it even gives protection to the hair from heat, and reduces breakage. What is there not to like.
Cons
No cons as such. Just that it does not do anything extraordinary.
My rating: 3.5/5
Paisa Vasool: Yes
Would I buy again: No… sigh… there are so many more hair masks to try :)

L’Oreal- Absolut repair hair masque (review)

Quickview
Repairing masque for very damaged hair
Price: Rs 550 (200ml)
Claims: Repairs and nourishes the devitalized hair fiber. Hair is left revitalized, soft and shiny.
L’Oreal absolute repair hair masque comes in tub like most hair masques. The consistency of the masque is really thick. It has neofibrine  which is a patented invention of loreal. Neofibrine has been described as a unique combination of Bio-Mimetic Ceramide , natural wax, shine perfecting agent and a UV filter for hair. My hair gets damaged by heat styling pretty fast, so I bought this hair masque as it is for very damaged hair. This product is also advised for chemically treated hair.  This product is from the serie expert range, which as we all know is a bit pricy. Thus I always do my research work pretty well before buying something from this range, but I was absolutely glad to have bought this product. It has to be massaged into shampooed and towel dried hair. Leave it for two to three minutes, and rinse thoroughly. You can try leaving it for ten minutes and giving your self a hot towel treatment. I use it every alternative time I shampoo my hair.
Pros: Hair instantly feels softer, looks shinier and healthier.
               It smells great too!!
It is mentioned on the tub that it has a UV filter for hair . That is a definite plus point.
The tub lasts for around 4 to 5 months.
(I shampoo my hair every second day and apply the hair masque every alternative time I shampoo that means once in every four to five days. And I am not kidding the last tub I had lasted me for six months. Then if you think about it the price does not seem that much.)
Cons:  weighs down hair.
I have got fine hair, still it doesn’t bother me that much. But my friends have
complained that it  does make hair a bit heavy.
My rating : 4/5
Paisa Vasool: Yes
Would I buy again: Yes
My friends whose hair has been fried by straightening and rebounding have been suggested to use this product by hair stylists. I do believe it makes the hair stronger. All in all this is a great hair treatment for damaged hair.
