India Fashion Forum hosts the biggest conclave on fashion-trends in India

 (Press release)

The 13th edition of India Fashion Forum (IFF) kicked off at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon, Mumbai. Over the years, IFF has played a key role in bringing all the key stakeholders of the fashion industry together, to formulate strategies for the positive development of the industry. It has also helped local and international brands grow profitably in India, by offering knowledge, shared experiences, powerful networking opportunities and a unique brand positioning platform. This year, IFF has adopted the theme of ’Fashion Your Future’, calling upon the industry to take responsibility for creating growth opportunities, influencing the right kind of fashion consumption, and increasing the market size.

From L-R (Ms. Harmeet Bajaj (Former Director, NIFT and Director, Bian, Nonita Kalra, Tarun Puri - MD (nike), Shailesh Chaturvedi- Vijendra Bharadwaj, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra )
The first day of this iconic three-day conclave, featured a special interaction for over 100 leading fashion journalists, bloggers and stylists with the leaders of the fashion industry. Having been more exposed to the elite designers and the various fashion weeks, the fashion media gained a better understanding of the fashion brands that actually clothe India. Fashion really happens on the side-walks of our cities, and not on the cat-walks of 5 star hotels, was the singular message of the session.

P.S. Couldn't attend the event due to work. Would have been fun to meet fellow bloggers and be a part of IFF 2013.
