Home is where our dogs are

A few of the facts that I learnt when I went home this time are: 7 days is just not enough when you are going home after two years. And that Duggu (the little one) had taken over the house and thrown Raja (the big one) out.

I went back to Dehradun after such a loooonngg time to attend my best friends wedding. Raja and Duggu welcomed me with wagging tails and sharp paws.

These are our street dogs (gali ke dogs) , Sweety and Barfi. It was nice to see that my niece and society's kids had been taking good care of them.

That is me with our first doggie Jackie. Please don't ask me what I am doing with that stick. Actually it looks like half a frame or something.

How have you been doing people? Are you dog person or a cat person? Or god forbid, are you the kind of person who doesn't like animals*gasp*?

  2. I so agree with you Karishma. 7 days are just not enuf when you go back home after years. I also do definitely believe that home is where our dogs are (or in my case pets :)).

I am generally an animal lover. I had a GSD named Bandit, but he passed away and now I have a cat.:) In Mumbai, I have two gali ke dogs - Chibku and Blackie who live in my society.

    1. Oh CZzzz.. you came to my blog!!

And i can understand, it is hard to keep pets if you are traveling. My mother and me feel like keeping a pet here in Mumbai sometimes, but we know it would be difficult.

  9. I have 2 at home...and i so agree with u...my smaller one totally rules over the bigger one....so much so tht he gets chased all over the house and then he tries to escape by climbing onto a higher platform so that the smaller one cant reach him :p we find him often standing on the chairs or the window ledge or even a small stool where only half of him fits....he is not allowed to come any where near my mom n dad....inspite of all this the bigger one (rusty) cant stay without the smaller one (mickey) and cries when he is separated....

Full time entertainment and yes work they are...but nothin beats the moments spent in their company :D
