Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains:Honey Douce, Love Sick Passionnee (Review and Swatches)

Honey Douce Revlon, Revlon Lovesick Passionnee

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains (okay that's a long name) hit the Indian Market this year with a bang. Out of the 12 shades, a satisfying number of 10 appealing shades have been launched in India: Honey, Crush, Darling, Cherish, Lovesick, Sweetheart, Smitten, Rendezvous, Romantic, and Adore .

Price: INR 600

Claims: It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lip stain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour.

Revlon lip stains review and swatches

My views:

"Honey Douce" is a neutral, subtle, natural kind of pink and "Lovesick Passionnee" is a vibrant, bright, magenta sort of pink. These balm stains are like retractable jumbo crayons, and thus they do not require sharpening. Their comparision to Clinique's Chubby Stick is inevitable. Look wise, the only difference is that Revlon Balm stains are a tad bit longer than chubby sticks.

A lip colour that is nourishing is a more viable choice then a lip colour and a separate balm. I found Revlon's JBKBS very moisturizing and it's pigmentation good enough. On application the Balm Stain gives a cool sensation of mint and a glossy finish, and in some time it turns into a natural(like you have not applied a lipstick) wash of colour on your lips which does not come off easily.

I find the stain of the darker colour(Lovesick Passionnee) is more lasting than the lighter(Honey Douce) one.
Honey Douce lasts for a good 3/4 hours, whereas  Lovesick Passionnee lasts for a longer time. The only con I could find is that the lip stain does not come off evenly, especially if you have chapped lips. A prominent colour like "Lovesick" coming of unevenly can look garish.

Rating: 4/5
Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains are a refreshing variation to the usual lipsticks and glosses. Also these balm stains are better priced than their counterparts of other brands. The stain doesn't come off easily which means less touch ups. :)
