Best face washes for oily/acne-prone skin

My ferociously oily skin which produces acne with a vengeance has always kept me on a lookout for a face wash that can combat these issues. Following are the face washes for oily and acne prone skin I have used since last year, and which have worked out well for me.

Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion

Price: 149 INR for 125ml

Mild, simple and effective. Cetaphil cleansing lotion has been recommended by dermatologists at large for people with sensitive, acne-prone skin. This cleansing lotion has a runny texture and does not lather. It comes in two different versions for sensitive and oily skin. I have used both of these variations and have found them to have more or less the same effect. You can purchase this cleansing lotion from any medical store without prescription.

Clean and Clear Deep Action Oil Control Face Wash

Price: 45 INR for 40ml

I have been using this face wash on and off since a long time, and it really works well in making my skin feel squeaky clean and oil free. The texture of this face wash is creamy and it foams well. It claims to remove oil for up to 8 hours but that is just being a little too optimistic, isn’t it?

Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Foam

Price: 630 INR for 150ml

Sebamed products are also prescribed by dermatologists for sensitive, acne-prone skin. The directions to use this face-wash are to leave it on your face for five minutes before washing it off. This can be purchased from medical stores. All Sebamed products have the pH value of 5.5 and are quite gentle on skin.

These three are my favourite face-washes for oily and acne prone skin. If I have to choose one out of these, I would go with ‘Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleanser.’ It is super-affordable, and keeps off the oiliness from coming back for more time than the other two. But if your oily skin is sensitive and crazy problematic, go for ‘Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion’ or ‘Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Foam’. Ooh and if you can find it, there used to be a Tea-Tree face wash by Ayur which had worked wonders for me and my friends' acne problems when we were in school. Haven't seen it in stores since a long time though.

My hunt for a face wash that can keep oil at bay for the whole day (or even 8 hours 4 hours) is still on. Do you know of any such magical product?

Which face wash do you swear by when it comes to oily/acne prone skin.

P.S. My acne situation is very much under control this year, due to my "super secret acne cure." More on that later ;)
