My experience with Foodpanda.in - Website Review

On a lazy Saturday evening, when me and Ma decided to order food and didn’t feel like having our usual favorite Pizza, I tried out the online food delivery website, Foodpanda.

Foodpanda provides customers with an easy and secure way to order from the best takeaways in their area.  It currently operates in Bangalore, Delhi, Faridabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indirapuram-Ghaziabad, Noida, Mumbai, Panchkula-Chandigarh-Mohali and Pune.

Now I was ordering from FoodPanda for the first time so I had to register and verify my mobile number which took less than 5 minutes. On selecting my city and area, I was shown a list of restaurants. Me and Ma were feeling like having Chinese, so we selected the option of choosing by cuisine, which in turn showed us all the restaurants in our area that deliver Chinese food.

I went ahead with ‘Ming China’ from where I had never ordered before. After placing the order I got a confirmation call from the restaurant and a confirmation message and email from Foodpanda. Being an old fashioned girl I opted for ‘Cash on delivery,’ but you can pay online too. Approximately 50 minutes later, I received delicious Chinese food.

I think Foodpanda is a great website to find out new places to order food from in your vicinity. I guess the time of delivery could be more or less, according of the proximity of the eating joint to your place.  Foodpanda has recently launched its iPhone and android app which I believe would make the ordering process faster and even more convenient.

Paisa Vasool Experience : Yes  (Anyway, placing an order from FoodPanda is free.)

My only suggestion to Foodpanda would be to have some kind of loyalty point system for their customers :P which would make us order from their website more often. You can check out the Foodpanda India website here.
