Reliance Trends presents Rahul Mishra | Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016

Rahul Mishra showcased his collection “Knots of Love” on Day 5 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 presented by Reliance Trends. The 43 piece collection was inspired by patterns and designs that are seen on porcelain which Rahul Mishra infused with exquisite detailing, centuries old technique of draping, lavish use of Bandhini and splashes of 3D.

The fabric choice of the International Woolmark Award Winner 2014 started with denim and khadi and moved to silk, organza, leatherette, neoprene, jersey and chiffon to complete the mélange of textiles. The colour palette used was indigo, white with ochré and yellow which creating a controlled muted look. Ileana D’cruz looked breathtaking walking the ramp in a stunning blue hand embroidered silk floral gown with a dramatic cut-out back.
